I Wish to Be... A Princess at Walt Disney WorldŽ
Six-year-old Alexandra’s biggest wish was to become a princess while visiting Disney World. With
her almost adult-like mannerisms and warm, outgoing personality, Alexandra (Lexie for short) is not the type of child to let anything get in the way of the beauty of life. Anyone that has met her in person knows Lexie is a child that is easy to fall in love with. The Make-A-Wish wish-granting wizards took every step to make all of her dreams come true for this adorable princess!
Before Stephen, her mom Christine, and her brother Shaun embarked on a Disney excursion, they all happily attended a party in Lexie’s honor thrown by Make-A-Wish. It was there where volunteers presented her with the perfect dress and other assorted princess accessories.
But her makeover wasn’t complete just yet. Upon entering the land of Mickey Mouse and endless
magic, Lexie visited the Bibbidy-Bobbidy-Boo Boutique in Downtown Disney where she was magically transformed into a princess. Lexie chose from three types of hair choices available: Disney Diva, Fairy Tale, and Pop Princess. Ultimately, she chose the Fairy Tale style, following make-up and additional first rate VIP service.
According to her father, Lexie’s treatment inside the Magic Kingdom was just like that of a princess. “The world was hers at Disney,” Stephen fondly recalled. On frequent occasions, Lexi was rushed to the front of lines or shown the back way into several of the park’s main attractions, including the boat ride, “It’s A Small World” and the Mad Tea Party; a tea cup ride! At one point, the little princess met with fellow princesses Belle, Snow White, and Cinderella and had them all to herself! But it was meeting her all-time favorite, Jasmine, that really put the finishing touches on a very special experience.

“I don’t think we could ever duplicate this trip,” Stephen decided after looking back at the incredible time Lexie and the whole family enjoyed. “It was all very real to her,” her father concluded. While it’s true that Lexie was turned into an “official” princess at Walt Disney World® Resort, those that know her unique personality knew she was a true princess already!
